April 19, 20251 yr Hello I have a question which I hope you can help me. I'm running mu unraid version 7.0.1 in a Proxmox virtual machine with SAS LSI 9211-8I (with three SATA III 7200 rpm disks connected). This is connected to first PCI slot of my motherboard but now, I want to connect this SAS card to another slower PCI of my motherboard (I was checking speed and througput and it must not be a bottleneck problem with daily basis use) because I need to connect a graphic card in the main PCI slot. I pasthougth the SAS card to the Unraid virtual machine and it has been working for a while withoput problems. Changing to the other PCI slot, may I have any consideration in Unraid apart the pasthougth reconfiguration in Proxmox? Thanks for your comments. Regards.
April 19, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution As long as the HBA continues to get passed through to Unraid, it should be fine.
