April 24, 20251 yr Hi Guys, I'm stumped. My server has started freezing up/becoming inaccessible at random, approximately 48 hours from boot. I setup logging to a share, so I have full logs, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to make sense of the logs. Can anyone help diagnose what's going on, here? I recently installed an Unraid integration for HomeAssistant, added a USB 2.5 gbps NIC, and replaced my SATA cables. Thanks so much for any help! syslog-192.168.50.233.log Edited April 24, 20251 yr by newoski
April 24, 20251 yr Community Expert Unfortunately, there's nothing relevant logged, this can also be a hardware issue, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one, including the individual docker containers.
April 24, 20251 yr Author Just now, JorgeB said: Unfortunately, there's nothing relevant logged, this can also be a hardware issue, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one, including the individual docker containers. Thanks. What would I do to try to troubleshoot hardware issues? Memtest? PSU was already recently replaced.
