Server Unresponsive every couple of days

Featured Replies

I've had random lockups since upgrading to 7.X, and I'm currently on 7.01. When the server locks up I'm unable to ping, ssh or login into the console locally.  They've now become quite regular every couple of days usually happening overnight, and only a hard reset will restore the server. I've uploaded the diags, any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There are constant call traces logged, but difficult to say if they are hardware or software related, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker containers/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one, including the docker containers.

Thanks I will try that, however it was rock solid before upgrading to 7.X which is odd. Would downgrading be an option as well?

OK, I've moved all the drives and UNRAID to a Terramax FS-424 Max, so all new hardware. Seemed easier than faffing around with Safe mode or downgrading. If I get any recurrence it's defiantly a software issue.

6 days uninterrupted uptime now with the Terramax, it seems to have been a compatibility issue with the previous hardware.
