April 28, 20251 yr A month ago, I had an issue where Unraid was reading one of my 4tb drives as a 2tb drive and the array wouldn't start. I tried a few recommendations from this forum, to reconnect and reorder my drives. Alas I couldn't get Unraid to recognize the error drive as a 4tb drive. Since I was about to head out on a long international trip, I figured I'd buy a new 4tb and deal with replacing the drive after I got back. Today I booted up my Unraid server to identify which of the two 4tb drives I needed to replace, and Unraid is correctly identifying both 4tb drives. However now, it's giving me this error that my Parity will be overwritten when I start the array. Is is safe for me to overwrite the parity in this situation? From my understanding, as long as the data drives remain unchanged, this can be safe to do, but I wanted to check in to ask if this is safe to do. First screenshot is from last month where Unraid is incorrectly identifying one of my drives, second is when I tried to start the array today with the drives in the original order. Recent diagnostics attached. xueunraid-diagnostics-20250428-0413.zip
