April 28, 20251 yr Hello Im swapping from my old DIY NAS to a newer one. Im literally keeping the cache drive and storage drives - Basically just swapping all storage devices into a newer system Is there anything special i need to do? Or should it just be plug in and play as im using the current USB with unraid on it too
April 28, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution In principle it is just plug in and go for basic NAS functionality as long as there is no hardware RAID cards involved. If you have VMs with hardware pass through then the IDs may change and need redoing.
