Protecting SSH (Fail2Ban)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use Unraid with SSH to backup data from TrueNAS, and I want to improve the SSH security but the webui is very limited (it seems, I am still new) on the SSH options and also I do not have the option to install fail2ban in the server to protect my ssh.

Is there any guide for this or a workaround? I would like to install fail2ban and if possible crowdsec to protect my ssh service and feel that the security of only using password is too weak.

Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't expose unraid directly to the internet, you should connect to it via the VPN.
