May 4, 20251 yr i´m totalt lost and can't seem to solve this problem. It's related to this thread. I decided to buy a new motherboard,CPU,RAM. MSI PRO H610M-E DDR4 Intel Core i3-12100 Crucial RAM CT2K16G4DFRA32A 32GB I configured BIOS as instruction for Unraid. Started Unraid and disk 8 is not detected. Stoped the Array but there are no disk to assign. The disk is present and I tried changed to new one but same behaviour. Unraid doesn't recognise that there is a disk thats not assigned. Doesn't show up as unassigned either. Need help t20-diagnostics-20250504-1540.zip
May 4, 20251 yr Community Expert It appears the disk is not being seen at the hardware level. It could be the disk is faulty, or perhaps it has a power issue if it is subject to the 3.3v issue (google for details). You might also want to try power cycling the whole server as that can sometimes get a drive that has dropped offline recognised again.

But its so strange because these two worked before in the old server without any error message. The one I have put in now is a new Ironwolf. Can you see in diagnostic file that it fails?

Isn't the 3.3v issue a non problem with newer PSU?I´m Googling solutions but there is so many. What's the best option? Edited July 18, 2025Jul 18 by Lappen71

July 18, 2025Jul 18 Community Expert Not sure, but still worth a try. Just connect the disk with an adapter using a SATA cable connected to the onboard SATA controller that works with a different disk, if you hear the disk spin up up but it's still not detected it basically can only be a disk issue.
