ZFS: "unsupported or no file system" after upgrading to 7.1.0

Featured Replies

My pool was a 8 RAIDZ1 created in ubuntu. I switched to Unraid 7.0 and it has been running fine until to day. I even have added another videz with 8 more drives in Unraid before upgrading. The pool in its "final" state is 2x devs with 8 drives in RAIDZ1 with a name read cache.

Now I'm greeted with this in the UI: unsupported or no file system

What have I tried:

Imported the pool successfully in terminal, and all the drives and files shows up.
When I trie in the UI I only get the same error. I have removed toe pool, did a config reset.

Please help guys!

The logs vdev must be assigned to the same pool, not a different one, remove both pools, create a new one with all the devices assigned, assign them all, leave the fs set to auto and start the array.

P.S. if still imported, don't forget to export the pool in the CLI first.

I was able to mount in in Truenas, but whole pool was empty. No files or folders.

I have accepted that all the data is lost and I’ll keep my thoughts about unraid for myself.  of course I will chose another system going forward.

Make sure all the datasets are mounting, because if the pool is empty, something else happened, the pool wasn't mounting because the devices were not correctly assigned, but since it wasn't imported, nothing else was done to it, you could also just mount the pool with

zpool import <pool name>

and check its contents.
