[error] 15106#15106: *51852 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream

Featured Replies

I am constantly getting 5xx errors when trying to access the UI.

May 9 09:48:15 Tower nginx: 2025/05/09 09:48:15 [error] 408616#408616: *57570 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: 192.168.100.58, server: , request: "GET /Main HTTP/2.0", subrequest: "/auth-request.php", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php-fpm.sock", host: "192.168.100.13"

I can still access services running in Docker on the server.   I am also still able to access shares from other hosts...

I have tried restarting nginx but didnt help

More important than those, the syslog is filled with what look like power/connections issues with two cache devices:

May  9 06:08:48 Tower emhttpd: import 30 pool device: (sdb) Samsung_SSD_870_EVO_1TB_S75BNL0X828429A
May  9 06:08:48 Tower emhttpd: import 31 pool device: (sdd) Samsung_SSD_870_EVO_1TB_S75BNL0Y113119N

Check/replace cables and post new diags after array start.

so still struggling with a ton of issues I can only equate to "locking up" in the UI.  Unable to stop and start containers or even get to the docker control panel...  Updated diag log...  All and all this has been a giant stuggle since I went back to booting of a USB vs running it under proxmox as a VM...

Not really, post new diags. Did you replace both power and SATA cables?

  • Community Expert

There are still errors with the devices, though those are unrelated to the:

May 11 19:40:08 Tower nginx: 2025/05/11 19:40:08 [error] 14489#14489: *91099 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: 192.168.100.228, server: , request: "POST /plugins/unassigned.devices/include/UnassignedDevices.php HTTP/2.0", subrequest: "/auth-request.php", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php-fpm.sock", host: "192.168.100.13", referrer: "https://192.168.100.13/Main"

Since these appear to be UD related, does it help if you boot in safe mode?

What does UD mean ?

Also FWIW when I woke up the next morning things seem to have subsided... so the problem seems intermittent and transient in nature  ... we'll see how today goes
