[SOLVED] Unraid 4.7 drops to 100Mb/s connection when resuming from S3 standby

Featured Replies

Hi,

just noticed recently that my Unraid 4.7 server drops from a 1000Mb/s connection to a 100 Mb/s when resuming from S3 satandby through WOL.

If I reboot the server, a Gigabit connection is acquired. Anyone noticed this kind of behaviour?

Since the sleep mode options are not themselves supported by unRAID, I think this is likely to be partly a function of how your motherboard's BIOS manages restore from sleep mode.

You may need to re-start the network connection after resuming from a sleep.  (the commands would go in your "sleep-mode" script used to put the server to sleep.  They would execute when awakening.)

Thanks Joe L. and S80_UK,

I updated the script to call ethtool and the issue is solved.
