Hi there I'm trying to add 2 new 3TB drives to my array but it won't work. I have attached a screenshot of trying to add the disks to the array but nothing happens. I click yes I want to do this and then start but nothing happens. I'm lost here and don't know whats going on, this is my second unraid server so I know what I'm doing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you on 4.7 as per your sig?  You need to update if so, I can't remember what beta it was, but one of the 5.0 betas introduced 3Tb support.  Maybe try Beta 14 since you're running a MV8, or the latest RC if you're super keen.

 

Ignore that, I can see that you must be as you already have a couple of 3TBs in your array.  Teach me to type pre-coffee!

Already have tried that all that happens is when I press start it says something about syncing for like a 1/4 of a second.

This is just a wild guess, but i notice in your pic that you are going through unmenu to get to unraid menu. Have you tried to start the the array with the unraid menu at port 80

Still having this problem and have even upgraded to the RC2. I'm using 2 SAS2LP-MV8 sata cards if that matters at all. I'm pretty sure its something to do with unraid and not the controllers because preclear worked perfect.

Try:

• Remove all of your plugins & extras
  
• Double check all your cabling
  
• Format/rebuild your flash drive & reassaign all your drives (you may have already done this upgrading to RC2)
  
• Post a syslog
  

 

Also, when did you notice the problem first appeared? Have you added any new hardware lately?
