New hardware same raid IP 169.xxx.xxx.xxx

Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to see if anyone might be able to assist. I had a server working flawlessly I upgraded to a new motherboard and CPU moved my drives over and bam dead in the water. I'm not getting an IP address. I tried to assign one manually in the network CFG, and it returned the dreadful 169.xxx.xxx.xxx The NIC is a good working NIC I booted into a copy of windows just to make sure it works as it is new hardware and anything can happen. Furthermore, I disabled bonding no luck, assigned the correct subnet mask no luck. From what I have read, it seems like the NIC isn't supported.

UNRAID version 7.0.1

Motherboard MSI z890 pro A wifi with NIC Realtek® 8126 5Gbps LAN

I have attached the diagnostics before I tried any manual network settings. Before I tried anything just installed the new hardware, I just got ipv4 and v6 address not set.

Try upgrading to 7.1. If the ethernet works, then you're good to go.  Otherwise try setting up connection via WiFi in 7.1 and then from within apps see if installing the RTL8126 driver works for the ethernet

I'm going to try to turn the wifi on and see if it will connect and update over the net. What is the appropriate way to update without any network access in case this fails?

The update fixed the issue and or deleting network.cfg I did both as I updated. Now to get the pool set back up. THANK YOU!

Wasn’t deleting network.cfg.   There was no driver being loaded in 7.0 and the update would have had a driver that worked with it.
