Unraid Server freezes randomly

Featured Replies

As my server lately froze many times when using the web interface I would like to ask for some help.

With freezes I mean the server totally crashes and there is no possibility to connect to it anymore. No SSH connection, no WebUI, not even pinging the server IP gives any response. Only a power cycle brings it back. It doesn't really matter what I do in the WebUI as it happened somehow randomly, but only if I use the WebUI as far as I can tell.

I have now set up a syslog server to grab some syslog files when it happens again but for now I don't have those logfiles. All I have is the diagnostics as attached. Maybe someone can already find an issue within those files?

Take a look here, if it doesn't help, enable the syslog server and post that after a crash.

I checked the BIOS settings even though the server has been running for many many months before without a single crash.

Now it has crashed again and here is the syslog. It looks like it has something to do with the GPU

Try removing the GPU or its driver and retest

Need to wait a bit more for final confirmation but looks like the system flash drive was the culprit for all this.

Even though I was using a pretty new and furtermore a max endurance microsd for that purpose, I tried another sdcard now and ever since the system keeps running.
