Hello folks, 

 

I am hoping to get some help here as I am a bit stuck with how to fix some of the issues that are happening after I upgraded the system hardware. 

 

1. My dockers are not starting automatically after reboot, despite being set to AUTO

2. One of the dockers (custom icons) does not even want to start even if I manually start it

3. Every reboot seems to trigger the parity check to start

4. My Cache drive is not moving data every night at 3AM which it has been set at, manually moving does not do anything, just refreshes the page its currently stuck at 44%. I am getting errors that the drive is full when I try to move large data from my windows machine to unraid because the cache fills up, when I manually delete the files in windows, the cache seems to remove those files, but never goes beneath 44%. 

5. I have 2 10GB Nics in the new mobo but I see both a 1GB and 10GB connected and it says bonded, however the transfer speeds are just 1GB. I only have 10GB connected. to one of the ports

Let's start with the mover, enable mover logging, run the mover and post new diags, as well as the share name(s) you expect to be moved.

Absolutely, the logging was already on. I manually run the mover and attaching the diag file again.

P.S. there are constant hardware errors being logged, it appears to be a problem with a RAM stick, look in the IPMI/System Event Log, there may be more info.

Is there a reason why the Cache is stuck at 50% usage then?

Is there anything else I should be fixing there? I understand that the VMs will be using some of the cache but not that much.

 

Are there other cache shares with data that you expect moved? Also port the output from:

 

du -h -d 1 /mnt/cache

Perhaps this configuration is wrong?

 

Displaying the orange icon for a share is standard (and correct) if the share has any files on a non-redundant pool as those files are not protected against a drive failure.  Since your ‘cache’ pool is not redundant any share that has any files on the pool will get the orange icon.

Yes I understand that, however the CACHE--> ARRAY config

Yes.

Thank you for that. I will keep checking to see if there is anything else on the cache that takes so much space. its a 1TB drive.

Try recreating the docker image to see if it helps with the docker issues, for the parity check, you will need to figure out what is preventing a clean shutdown, can you stop the array normally?

I was able to stop the array manually and then rebooted the machine. 

So far the parity check has not initiated i will monitor for a few more hours to see if it starts by itself. Last check was 5 days ago when i last rebooted. 

 

 

 

 

I have checked the vdisk allocation on the VMs, they are maximum of 230GB however the cache is always filled up to 50% which is 500GB as it is a 1TB NVME drive. 

 

Trying to figure out what else the cache is using.
