Featured Replies

Hi I ma tryimg to replace an error strewn Seagate 2TB with Critial P310 2TB . The NVME SSD appears in the dropdown when i select and reboot i recever a message that it The replacement disk must be as big or bigger than the original. I am trying to replace the original.

I assume that i cannot install like for like size 2TB it must be larger ?

I currently have Parity Drive 3 TB , 3.5 2TB , 2 x 2.5 1TB which is sufficeient for my needs at the moment .

Do i have to remove the Seagate 2TB ?

Any advice would be appreciated

That's not typically a good idea, since write speed will be limited by parity and TRIM won't work, but if you really want to, and if they are the same capacity, you may be able to do it using the CLI to create the partition manually, please post the diagnostics.
