May 24, 20251 yr Upgraded from Basic to Plus and then from 6.?.? to 7.1.2. After reboot all the array information appears to be lost. I'm not sure how to piece things back together.Last picture is if I mount the 4 devices available to mount. Edited May 24, 20251 yr by ScubaDubba Update
May 24, 20251 yr Author If I map them according to the serial number it looks like this. Do I have to then choose New Config under tools? Will I lose any data if it's the same mapping?
May 24, 20251 yr Author Was hoping this forum was more active. Let me know if there is a better space to seek assistance. I am able to browse the data on DISK01 and DISK02 when they are in Unassigned Devices..
May 24, 20251 yr Author I do apologize for being impatient. I'm just anxious to get it fixed and a bit lost with what to even search or where to go to find more answers. Here is my config folder for reference. I don't see any disk_assignments.txt present. I have a disk cage with 5 disks connected with a USB to a mini HP computer if that's helpful.
May 25, 20251 yr Author For reference, I'm using an HP 600 Mini Tower PC with Yottamaster 5 Bay USB C RAID Enclosure. Would rolling back make any difference here?
May 25, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution 13 hours ago, ScubaDubba said:Was hoping this forum was more activeNot everyone is in the same time zone, also weekends can be slower.Problem was caused by the USB enclosure, you can do a new config and keep all the assignments, or if you prefer, you can disable the new UASP driver and the names will go back to as they were before, for the latter, add this after bz root to the default boot option on the syslinux configuration page, like the example below, but with 152d:0567:uThen reboot.
May 25, 20251 yr Author That fixed my issue. I appreciate the assistance. I applied the suggestion above, rebooted, reassigned the drives in the array, started the array and everything started coming back to life.Again, I appreciate the help.
May 26, 20251 yr I am an old man who loves computers, but I do not think as well as I used to. Also I am new to UNRAiD. I am running a 7 disk array in an old tower with about 40TB, a complete Plex ecosystem with arrs and Deluge for books and a Win 11 VM. I could not do it without the help of my friends like JorgeB and Turl. JorgeB is an outstanding resource who has helped me a lot. He is, however, at least 5 time zones away from the US and I am sure has a real life as well. I am just so happy he is available. and willing to help. He has gotten this old man's UNRAID server up, stable and humming error-free free and I very much appreciate hin. From my perspective, he reads a diag file better than anyone I know.
