I am looking at getting a Tripp Lite SMART1200LCD to protect some stuff. Had lightning take out the modem over the week end and maybe a couple ports of my switch so figure I got lucky once better do something. This is what will be hooked to it.

 

1) Main PC

2) HTPC

3) AV Reciever

4) Modem

5) Router

6) Switch

7) Unraid Box

8) Dish Box

 

It has one USB port that I will run to the HTPC. I know that using the Tripp Lite's PowerAlert Software I can get the HTPC and Main PC to shut down when running on battery. Question is can I some how have one of the PC's trigger the UnRaid box to shut down when running on battery since I can't hook the USB cable to it. I guess I could just leave it run and when the battery runs down it will just shut off. Would be nice to do a clean power down though.
