Help needed on re-enable a disk

Featured Replies

Greetings

  1. Tried to replacing disk 1 (9 years old) with a new 4 TB disk, but the new disk appeared to be bad. (clicking noises)

  2. I re-installed disk 1 and added it back to the array.

  3. Now disk 2 is showing disabled.

Per S.M.A.R.T. test disk 2 look good.

Attached my diagnostics and smart report

Not sure where to go from here. Did several searches, but did not come up with any good answers.

Maybe have disk 2 erased and see if it can be re-built.

Disk dropped offline, and SMART looks OK, this is typically a power/connection issue, check/replace cables and try again.

Thanks for the reply.

I have checked cables and power connections twice.

I am able to spin down and spin up the drive from the GUI. All disk info does show under disk settings.

I will look at moving the drive to another bay and post the results.

Moving to another bay did not work. I went ahead and did the rebuild on itself procedure. Which enabled the drive back again.

Problem solved.
