May 29, 20251 yr I received a warning today that my parity drive might be failing. Weekly parity checks have been clean, and previous SMART tests looked fine. I ran the diagnostics through ChatGPT, and it pointed to the drive itself. Before I kick off an RMA, could someone double-check the logs? Would really appreciate a second opinion. tower-diagnostics-20250529-1548.zip
May 30, 20251 yr Community Expert It's logged as a disk problem, so may be better to replace it, you can also run an extended SMART test.P.S.: there appears to be a container constantly restarting, check their uptimes.

I ran an extended SMART test that I've attached below. And yeah, I saw those errors as I was going through the logs, I'll need to look into that as well. June 1, 20251 yr Author Thank you! Could those errors be from a different setup issue? Should I take this drive off Parity and make it just a data drive?
June 2, 20251 yr Community Expert I would swap cables/slots with a different drive, leave as parity for now, and if the errors follow the drive, replace it.
