I upgrade/replace hard drives frequently, and because are about 20 drives in the system. To replace all of them, I will have to start/stop the array 20 times, which causes significant downtime.Not sure why this is not the case already but I think this is the whole point of using ZFS.

But yes, I agree, I have the hotswap bays galore, but have never been able to hotswap using them. Edited June 4, 20251 yr by Hammy Havoc
