Mover not working - Cache filling up

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Mover has seem to stopped working. Even when i manually activate it after stopping vms and docker, it wont do anything. I see in the logs only 1 line and that's it.

I saw there seemed to be an issue with the plugin, but i did not have it.

emhttpd: shcmd (222): /usr/local/sbin/mover start &> /dev/null &

Thanks

Enable mover logging, run the mover, post new diags after and the name of the share(s) you expected to be moved.

I think you have a case issue. Look in the config/shares folder on the flash drive and check that there is a .cfg file for the share I think is probably called 'media' from the anonymised diagnostics has the same spelling AND capitalization as the folders for the share on your drives.

Assuming I am right then correct this and after that check the settings for the share are now as you want. Mover should now work as expected.

Yep, that's the issue, delete /config/shares/media.cfg, then go to the Media share, reapply the settings, and the mover should then work.

Do i need to stop the array before doing that? or can i do it with everything running?

You should be fine doing that with the array running.

After deleting the problem .cfg file go into the share to check the settings and make sure you make a change (e.g. edit the comment) and hit Apply to get a new ,cfg file generated.

Perfect,

i had to also change it back to Cache > Array to actually tell the mover to move it. It would not work without it.

Thanks a lot guys.
