June 1, 20251 yr I have setup a VPN client in unRAID and in the docker containers it’s possible to route a docker network through the VPN client. Is it possible to route a LAN port in the unRAID server through the unRAID vpn client?
June 2, 20251 yr Community Expert Possible yes ...Requires advanced networking, Linux terminal commands...You can make a bridge tieing the interface of your vpn client and the eth interface of the lan...(Usualy requires a separate pcie addon network card for simplicity...)Usually people install "forbidden routers" and run things like open sense as a VM and control the vpn connected client at teh router OS level in unraid and have a lan be set out on unraid ETH assigned port...It's a very complex and complicated thing to do. Not advised to do... UNRAID IS NOT NETWORKING EQUIPMENT! Edited June 2, 20251 yr by bmartino1

I will not recreate nor advise this on unraid...To many points of failure and requires interacting with the unraid hyperv virtual switch to make shim bridges between interfaces...
