All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started

Featured Replies

I'm stressing a little bit. I do have parity, thankfully, but one of my drives is showing "All existing data on this device will be OVERWRITTEN when array is Started." How do I avoid losing my data?

Unraid is detecting a new disk was assigned as disk1, so that is expected in that case, was the disk disabled?

For now, unassign disk1, start the array and post the diagnostics.

Thank you so much, JorgeB! I really appreciate it. Sorry, I'm still a little ignorant on some things within Unraid, so hopefully this is what you meant.

We can't see why disk1 is disabled because it happened before the last couple of boots, but the emulated disk1 is mounting, assuming contents looks correct, you can just rebuild it, stop the array, assign disk1, start array to begin rebuilding.

Thank you! It will rebuild without losing data?

It will rebuild what you see on the emaulted disk.
