June 1, 20251 yr Hi everyone,I'm trying to make my Unraid server reachable from the internet via IPv6 – specifically to host a Minecraft server in a Docker container. However, Unraid does not seem to obtain a public IPv6 address, even though the Fritzbox router assigns one correctly.Setup:Unraid 7.12Fritzbox 6690 Cable (Dual Stack Lite / DS-Lite)Unraid is connected directly via EthernetDocker container runs in bridge network modeProblem:The Fritzbox shows the Unraid server has been assigned an public IPv6 addressBut on the Unraid terminal (ip -6 addr show), I only see the local IPv6IPv6 autoconfiguration is enabled in Unraid network settingsIPv6 port forwarding (port 25565) is active on the FritzboxTailscale is also installed but not used for this scenarioDHCPv6 seems to be working on the Fritzbox sideGoal: I want Unraid to accept and properly use the public IPv6 address so I can expose services like a Minecraft server. Right now it seems the OS rejects it or can't complete the address assignment.Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!Unraid Network Settings:Interface Info:
June 3, 20251 yr Community Expert I don't have a frit box. But This appears to be a common Network issues.Unraid with ipv6 has been weird, since v7 beta 4.I finally got unriad to use ipv6 with unifi settings.Ipv6 needs to use slacc and RA. ra can get in the way with ipv4 dns adblock servers. Without ipv6 RA slacc will not give unraid a ipv6 dhcp IP.Please double-check your ipv6 setup and configurations for dns on the fritzbox.https://en.fritz.com/service/knowledge-base/dok/FRITZ-Box-6690-Cable/1239_Setting-up-an-IPv6-subnet-in-the-FRITZ-Box/-https://be.fritz.com/fr/service/base-de-connaissance/dok/FRITZ-Box-6690-Cable/573_Configurer-l-IPv6-dans-la-FRITZ-Box/ Edited June 3, 20251 yr by bmartino1 typo
