I have been replacing older smaller drives - one 14TB left to replace. Currently I have a mix of 18TB, 16TB, and one 14TB. Trying to replace the 14TB with a 16TB. Both Parity drives are 18TB

After rebooting, I go to the 14TB drive and select the 16TB replacement and then start the array. Rebuild starts with a Total Size =16TB (Should be 18TB, correct?).

After the rebuild completes, the file systems are corrupted. I have to stop the array, put the 14TB back in place and then do New Config to rebuild both Parity drives.

This is the 2nd time this has occurred. This time I captured the diagnostics shortly after staring the array.

Am I doing something wrong?

If the replacement drive is 16TB, the rebuild will be 16TB, it's correct.

Disk8 is mounting in the diags posted, unassigned it, start the array and post new diags.

Thank you for the verification. I will wait until this rebuild completes a see how the file system looks.

Disk 8 is the drive currently being rebuilt - 2.5% complete. It should finish sometime tomorrow.

Everything looks good so far, any issues after the rebuild is done post new diags before rebooting.

So far, so good. Rebuild finished. File system looks ok.

Second time was the charm, I guess.
