May 10, 201214 yr Author I checked the cable and I rebuilt the parity. After 1 day of parity check (usually it takes 8 hours) I had the same problem. Red ball, lot of errors and the same syslog. May 10, 201214 yr Power cycle the system and try to get a SMART report. You can test the drive with this: http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=504&sid=30〈=en
May 11, 201214 yr Author So, well, i changed the data cable, rebooted the system and this is the conclusion: The disk is dying, am I wrong?
