All my movies have their own map.

They are all under

\\unraid\data\movies

 

i want to get a complete list (maybe in txt file?) of all the movies i have

 

how do i do this?

In Windows:  dir /b \\unraid\data\movies>movies.txt

In Windows:  dir /b \\unraid\data\movies>movies.txt

 

where do i type that?

In Windows:  dir /b \\unraid\data\movies>c:\movies.txt

 

where do i type that?

Start >RUN

type in CMD , then enter

 

OR START ,and where it says "search programs and files" type in CMD , then enter

 

at the black screen type in the command

 

note with the above command it will put the txt file in the current directory

 

So slight change "dir /b \\unraid\data\movies>c:\movies.txt"

this will put it on the root of c drive.

Lazy persons way to get a list of one share is to open it in a web browser. 

"file://///tower/Movies/" and just cut and paste.

Needs some cleaning up though, but works ok.

 

 

I use "Ember Media Manager", its been picked up and new author is continuing development - nice program and nice export/list utils
