hi there!  i'm running 5.12b

using user shares

i'm pretty sure they are read and write... but actually not sure how to check!  i can usually delete files no prob, but i seem to be having trouble with files that programs write to the shares... for example i want to delete some files created by yamj but am unable to

I am having the same problems also and New permissions has not worked for me. I wish you luck

Click on "New Permissions".

Hi where is this command?

Click on "New Permissions".

Hi where is this command?

Unraid utils

Telnet into your unraid and delete as root?

I'm having this problem also.

Everytime I run the command "yamj-rescan", I have to follow it with "chown -R admin:user /mnt/user/NAME_OF_SHARE/Jukebox" before I can delete or overwrite the movie poster with some other picture I like better.  Replace NAME_OF_SHARE with the name of your share folder.  Maybe that will help you.

I had a similar problem - media I would transfer to unRAID was invisible to my Dune, and I constantly had to run Change Permissions.

I realized it was because I was mapping to the share as "root" on my PC, and therefore only root owned the files.  I changed the map to "nobody", with no password, and that seems to have worked.

thanks, i run a cron job daily so i added your command to it... will see if things get straightened out overnight!

If yamj runs as a user other than root this problem should go away.
