June 11, 20251 yr Recently I have an issue occurring. Some parts of the GUI are not showing text, the text is there but invisible. So For example on the main screen, the drive list is there but invisible, but the list of unmounted drives below is showing perfectly.Other screens work perfectly, and some dialogue boxes are blank as well - such as updating dockers.I have tried different browsers, and different computers (even Mac and IOS) -0 I have also tried restarting and on one occasion the text was working, but now it seems to be not working after multiple server restarts.I have also cleared all data out of Edge - as in settings>Clear Browser Data, and Settings>Cookies and Site Permissions>Clear Cookies and Data stored. So it definitely seems to be server side..... Also it may be my imagination but it seems to be taking longer to boot to the login screen...Currently all text is working, but I'm a bit concerned that maybe my flash drive is failing or something else serious is about to happen.Diagnostics attached, but from the current boot where the text is all present. Screenshots showing the effect also attached. tower-diagnostics-20250611-1244.zip
June 19, 20251 yr Community Expert This is almost always a cached data issue with the web browser.Clear your browser's cache and cookies, and restart your client PC and close the browser before logging in again. Detailed instructions are available here: https://answers.uillinois.edu/illinois/115654? are you using additional plugins like theme engine or folder viewer?
June 19, 20251 yr Author Thanks for your suggestion, but Yes I have done that. I have also tried using a Different PC, so there can be no cached data on that one....I eliminated the cache possibility. However, some corruption has cropped up on my machine, so this may be related
June 19, 20251 yr Community Expert Thank you for confirming its not cache and the use of another client matching showing the same. Then yes this is usual the early signs of ram issues and usb flash MTF with read write of a USB.Unraid exist entirely in ram if the linux applications are reading and writing n a bad ram sector ths can cause webpage and text distortion.at system boot I would suggest a mem test to rule or faulty system ram. while you can, I also suggest making a unriad flash drive backup. The webpage your visiting are php runnign scripts and other so a verbose output not dispaly is some form of OS corruption. thus, i recommend checking ram.
June 20, 20251 yr Author Solution With Sorting the other Corruption issues that occurred, this has gone away.... Thank Goodness I don't believe I have lost much if anything at all.I have a backup on unraid connect, it has saved my bacon in the past! Thanks For Your Replies
