I have used some discs only for backup and keep them mostly off. This way, they do not wear out and consume power. The Chieftec is still good, but I am also interested of other products in market that have those power buttons. The Chieftec backpane can have four hard drives for 3x5.25" slots but there are also many backpanes than can have five. One interesting option is Icy Dock FlexCage MB975SP-B R1 https://global.icydock.com/product_45.html. It can have 5 discs and has power buttons for each. It is also tray-less.Are there any other options available with similar features?"
