Identify which drive by at a number.

Featured Replies

I am receiving regular messages about one of my drives showing ata4 needing to be reset.

I cannot find anywhere how to identify which drive this is since ata doesn't seem to appear anywhere in the tools.

Thanks in anticipation.

Diags are generated as a single zip file, next time please post that.

ata 4 is this drive:

[4:0:0:0] disk ATA HGST HUH728080AL WDA0 /dev/sdd /dev/sg3

state=running queue_depth=32 scsi_level=6 type=0 device_blocked=0 timeout=30

dir: /sys/bus/scsi/devices/4:0:0:0 [/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1c.0/0000:01:00.0/ata4/host4/target4:0:0/4:0:0:0]

If you need to find out in the future, check lsscsi on the diags.

Thank you so much.

I've been puzzling over this for ages.

As for the diagnostics, I uploaded exactly what appeared in my downloads folder.

I wondered if I had done something to alter the output, so I just ran it again with the same result.

Whilst the program clearly displayed that it intended to download a ,zip, that's not what I ended up with.

Perhaps my Mac is becoming too smart.

I don't use a Mac, but I believe thy may automaticalli unzip the files to "try" and help.

Yes, it appears you are correct.

Safari has an option to open files after download. That's news to me.

I don't recall this happening before so it may have been set active in OS Sequoia which I recently installed.
