June 26, 20251 yr Is there any option, or plugin to provide the option for 2FA on the server sign in.
June 27, 20251 yr Community Expert Why do you need Two Factor Authentication and for what what "sign in"? Edited June 27, 20251 yr by Frank1940 repeated word...
June 27, 20251 yr Community Expert I do not know of this option but am now also curious if it is a possibility.
June 27, 20251 yr Author I like having the peace of mind knowing I have 2FA on my server, I have it on literally every single login I use except UnRaid. Regardless if I'm only using my server on my home network, just having that extra security setup is extremely useful. On my UnRaid login page, it only asks for username/password and no option to setup 2FA.
June 27, 20251 yr Community Expert Currently only SSO via your unraid.net account is supported. There will likely be support for 2FA in the near future when the Unraid Connect API is overhauled. This is not really "officially" confirmed but I've heard through the grapevine.

I will point out that the File serving side (Samba in particular) has no provision for 2FA. It is expected that (according to Google) that you will be using something like Active Directory to authenticate users beyond the simple-- but complex --password. (I worry more about the security of my data then I am worried about someone gaining access to the Unraid GUI. At this point, I can't afford, or do I have the expertise, to setup a truly secure Active Directory server.)
June 27, 20251 yr Author Solution Thanks, well it appears there is no solution to this, hopefully in a near future update they will provide the functionality.I know it's easy just to say it's on your home network, and also has a complex password so there is no need to worry, but 2FA is the standard regardless. Just seems disappointing that there still is no option for it.
