CPU utilization since upgrade to Unraid 7

Featured Replies

Hi,

Since the upgrade to Unraid 7.1 I have constantly 100% usage of one CPU core and the start up of the array takes more than 15 minutes. Also shutting down the server takes way longer than under 6.8.

The culprit is udevd-daemon as per processes list.

I have already rolled back to 6.8 and the issue is completely gone, the system is very responsive.

Back to 7.1 and the issue starts again.

Running Unraid on a HP Microserver Gen8.

Any ideas??

Try updating your plugins, e.g unassigned devices which is the main user of udev is a version from February when the latest is from June 15.

EDIT: got it wrong, looked at Plus

Remove direct links

Reboot in safe mode and see if it does the same, if yes, stop docker and VM services ans and retest.

Will try that next as soon as the data has been rebuilt.

Both, VM and docker, are presently disabled.
