NVME not showing in 'system devices' at all

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm trying to bind an NVME to VFIO and having a problem in that the NVME doesn't show up in any IOMMU group at all. I've tried all 3 options for 'ACS override' and still doesn't show up, although it appears in 'unassigned devices' fine and I can mount / unmount it fine there.

Screenshot of my 'system devices' attached.

Do you mean it's not on the devices list? The screenshot is unreadable, also, please post the diagnostics.

Yeaah, it's not in the devices list at all. It shows in the drives at the bottom of that screen, and it shows in 'unassigned devices' but doesn't appear in system devices at all. (if you right click on the image you can open it in a new tab and then zoom in to read it :) )

Diagnostics attached

There are a lot of devices missing from the IOMMU groups, I see that you are using a Threadripper, pretty sure there's a BIOS setting to enable all the devices, but don't remember the name, it should not be hard to find by searching this forum or with Google.
