July 5, 20251 yr So, I have posted 3 threads on Unraid Reddit in the past 2 months. All 3 were regarding specific Docker configuration on Unraid. All 3 were removed by the admin(s). Yet I see countless other threads dating back years associated with questions/announcements on a vast number Docker related content. Some as recent as last 48 hours. What's the deal and why am I being singled out? Is anyone from Unraid running the group themselves or is this only 3rd party? That said, where can I go for specific Docker container support if I can't go to the group that I am running the containers on? Some simply don't have robust support on Discord or I cannot find anything meaningful that is with crayons that I can understand.
July 5, 20251 yr Community Expert Don't know about reddit, but each container in CA should have a link to a support thread for it on this forum, so that'd be the best place if you have container-specific questions. If it's more general there are sections for that too.

I had a simple issue with Mealie admin password disappearing and the forum here was crickets. That was 1 of the 3 removed. I have had other issues over the years and same. I found much more activity and response on Reddit. (until lately)
July 5, 20251 yr Community Expert You should start here:or here:Docker containers are not a part of Unraid. There should be a support thread but it is not a requirement that an Docker has to be supported. If the thread doesn't not exist, try to find a container that has an active support thread. In the time I was putting this post together, I see you got some similar response. I am sorry about your problem with "Mealie admin password disappearing" but that type of question will have to be answered by someone who has solved the problem OR the maintainer of the repository for that container. If he is AWOL, you may be out of luck.

There are only 3 rules there I can see and none say don't post about Dockers. (Which probably makes up 99% of use case for Unraid). I hope the community doesn't adapt some the overly zealous behaviours of the free competitor I left 5 years ago ..
July 6, 20251 yr Author Perfect example(s) of some qualify some don't. Let's see how long this one is up:
July 6, 20251 yr reddit mods always live up to their name. The unraid discord is far better than what little help reddit can offer. Edited July 7, 20251 yr by DiscoverIt

Wasn't even aware there was a DIscord for Unraid. I see at least 1 of the JF posts is still up. Must be a friend of the Mod.
July 8, 20251 yr Solution One of the new mods there is going a bit far, I've been noticing it since they were added earlier this year.

July 23, 2025Jul 23 Don't know who, their moderation actions are anonymous so you cant know who removed a post unless they specifically tell you.Not attacking or pointing the finger, the mods have been doing a good job overall, but I think that page should have a clearly defined rules list like most of the other related subreddits and mod actions should be given explanations. The problem for the OP of this thread is that they arent given a reason, so they don't know how to reframe the question or if something needs to be censored or asked elsewhere. If asking an application specific question isn't allowed it should be clearly stated, but I don't think that makes sense. if you're running a specific app on unraid, the unraid subreddit should be a valid place to ask for help as long as it is within the other rules (which at the moment are not clearly defined)
