7.0.0 Unraid server becoming unresponsive after half day

Featured Replies

My server is running unraid 7.0.0, a couple of docker containers and I only access it via Tailscale. Earlier it had a long issue free up time (2.5 months). Some day the server became unresponsive via most services I used and I was only able to ping it with a higher than normal latency (~100-200 ms instead of 10 ms).

When I got home I noticed that despite me not using anything the HDDs were quite active and loud. I rebooted the system and ran into a bz checksum error. Fixed that with downloaded unraid 7.0.0 files and booted into it again successfully, docker containers span up successfully. The next day the system was unresponsive again except via the higher than normal ping. The logs appear to be gone after rebooting?

I would highly appreciate help in narrowing down what´s causing this.

-EDIT-

The CPU was constantly at 100% after booting and spinning up the array. Four tasks of cron.php, it seems the nextcloud version caused this.

Enable the syslog server and post that after it happens again, together with the full diags after a reboot.
