Hello :)

I'm considering going with unraid for my nas but I've never used it before (or any other nas OS).

I'll use a ryzen 2400G that I have laying around, B450 motherboard + 16gb DDR4. I have no doubts it will have enough power for what I plan to do with it (storage, torrents, plex but no transcode needed, some containers).

From my understanding I'll need a USB key to install unraid so no ssd requried for the OS. But I'm guessing I could take advantage of my nvme slot for caching / docker etc?
Would an nvme ssd be enough or do I need more than one? I'm guessing at least one for some caching / docker but maybe it's better to have more than one so things can be split across multiple ssd or dedicated to different use case?

I just want to get the right parts and not mess things up before starting 😅

One is enough if you don't want redundancy.
