Chaos after updating to 7.1. Unraid offline. Help needed

Featured Replies

Hello all, I started my unraid journey few months ago, so I'm unfortunately still a novice and I ran into a roadblock after updating to 7.1 and I don't know how to get my unraid server online again.
I got error "Post Install License Key Error. Missing key file. Your license key file is corrupted or missing. "

Than I shut down unraid server and tried to replace the key to the unraid usb stick in other windows pc. Windows tells me that there is problems with that usb and can't fix it, so I cant replace the key.
Next I download my unraid backup from connect and tried to install it to a new usb stick with unraid usb creator 1.0.1 and I got error "Error extracting archive: file size could not be restored".

Now I'm pulling my hair, because I don't want to lose my server.

Could anyone help? I have diagnostic zip from the time of the problem if that is needed.

Another thing is that if I get the new usb to work with my backup, than how to assign each disk to the array / cache exactly as it was prior to the failure. Where can I find this data?

Create the new flash drive using the USB tool, restore only the /config folder from the old one/backup, overwriting any existing files, then transfer the license.
