Unraid 7.0.0 DHCP Issue

Featured Replies

I no longer get a DHCP IP from our Xfinity router. Today I could not connect to Unraid's web interface via local IP. I have tried both ethernet ports, different ethernet cables, restarting the Xfinity router, rebooting Unraid. Nothing seems to work. We did not lose power so I am at a loss for words. I have attached the diagnostics from running the command and then powerdown. Hopefully someone can help shed some light onto the issue.

Try rebooting or resetting the router.

I have done both and keep getting the same internal IP.

That's typically a router or connection issue, e.g., the link is up but it's not actually connected to the router DHCP/server, but it could also be a bad NIC.

I have tried both ports on and they give the same result. Could both be bad?

Do you have an old router/AP you could test with? You don't need to connect it to the internet; just enable the DHCP server and see if Unraid gets an IP. That will confirm if the current router is the problem.

Yes. I have a travel router. It connected to that and was given 192.168.8.197

That basically confirms that the router is the problem.
