July 18, 2025Jul 18 Several times over the last few weeks I've been dealing with my Unraid server randomly losing network connectivity making it impossible to troubleshoot over the web UI. However, when I go to connect my server directly to my monitor so I can reboot the server that way and restart the web UI, neither my GPU or onboard video provide video. My only other option to reboot cleanly is to disconnect the power to my UPS and allow the server to safely shutdown that way, however, it does not appear like the functionality with my UPS (using NUT) is not working. I set my shutdown time on power loss to 3 minutes and the most recent time the server showed no signs of shutting down after that time forcing me to have to a dirty reboot and perform a parity check that takes 20+ hours. This is the fourth time in the last few weeks this has happened and not sure what could be causing it. I did just recently update to the latest version of Unraid, but I believe this happened at least once before that so I'm not sure it's related.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thankfully this time around I did get the syslog and can also include a fresh diagnostics for my server. k-e-v-i-n-diagnostics-20250729-1802.zip syslog-072925.log

I dont know any "stable" USB adapter (of course, it depends on usage. if you have only unfrequent and small requests, they usually work, but if it comes to large transfers of huge files they often run into buffering problem and cancel the session)when it comes to networking prefer stability instead of speed. I’ve been using this particular adapter for a few years now with no issues and only suddenly starting having issues with my server hanging. However, I have been doing a lot of heavy transferring of files and backing up my entire iCloud to the server, so that may explain it. Looks like I’ll have to deal with the slower speeds of my motherboards ethernet port until I can replace it with a new PCI card.

Any idea how I can fix this?
