July 22, 2025Jul 22 Hi,I'm currently running UnRAID version 6.12.6I recently purchased the Neutron music file player app for my Samsung tablet, and I was trying to point it to the Music share on UnRAID where all my music files are stored in FLAC format, but I didn't have much luck. The app found the UnRAID server (it recognized the IP address), but it doesn't seem able to drill down to the MUSIC folder, or all of the subsequent Artist/Album sub-folders. I raised a question about it on the Neutron forum, and someone has just posted back to say that currently, Neutron only supports SMB1, and they raised that as possibly being the issue? I know that a number of other devices I have can access other shares on the server using SMB without issue, but I'm not technically proficient enough to know which version of SMB they're using...or even which version of SMB the UnRAID server uses or offers. I'd like to get this app working (acknowledging that SMBv1 poses a security risk), but I don't know if this is possible, or even a good idea, or if there are any downstream implications I need to consider.I'd be grateful if someone could offer me some help/advice.

July 22, 2025Jul 22 Author I probably need to follow this up. If netbios is already enabled on unRAID does that mean if a device that only does SMBv1 tries to connect, it won't have any issues with unRAID (no SMBv1 issues anyway)?

July 23, 2025Jul 23 Author Solution I ended up playing around with the app for a while after everyone had gone to bed. I managed to get it working. I found one question on the apps faq page well & truly hidden that gave me a clue. In the end, the fault wasn't with unRAID (which I suspected anyway), it was poor documentation, the lack of a good setup video, and operator error.
