Hi everyone,

I’m currently working with a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) – 50KN capacity for material testing in our lab. I want to set up a data logging and analysis system using Unraid, and I was wondering if anyone here has experience or suggestions regarding:

  • Connecting UTM output (usually via USB or serial port) to an Unraid system

  • Logging the real-time test data (load, displacement, etc.)

  • Storing test results in a structured format (CSV, database, etc.)

  • Any recommended docker containers or plugins for this type of task?

  • Possibility of using MQTT or similar protocols if UTM supports it?

I’d really appreciate input from anyone who has used Unraid for similar industrial data logging or lab applications.
