Unable to Access Unraid GUI from Browser or Server

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have been having an issue lately where my server will run just fine for a few days and at some point I will go to log into the GUI from my desktop and it will not load. If I go to the server itself I can log in and it will say local host is unavailable. I can still access the terminal and send a restart or shutdown command but cannot access the GUI. My shares are still reachable from my Windows machine and I can ping the IP and get a response. The only issue is that I cannot access the GUI. If I restart, server works just fine for a few days. Any idea what's going on? I have attached the last log I pulled.

syslog.txt

Have you tried accessing the GUI via a different system or via incognito mode? sounds like a cookie/cache issue

Yes, I have tried it with my phone and in Incognito mode and got the same thing. The server itself would not even connect returning a unable to connect to local host error.

I don't believe I was doing any troubleshooting at that time. Could it be driver issues?

It happened sometime after Jul 23 07:32:36 which was my last successful login. I tried logging into the server itself sometime around Jul 24 18:18:57 and that is when the GUI would not load.

It could be driver or any other LAN related hardware, like NIC, cables, switch, etc, though the link recovered, so that by itself should not be the issue, but could still be a sign of a problem.

Did you try to conect a monitor direct to the server and boot in gui mode (2nd option in the boot blue sreen).

If it shows the gui, many times is a eth down problem, specially if it is on trial mode you can´t run without internet.

Try to check the dhcp lease on your router to see if the server is up

Sure did and I get a failed to load local host. I can access the terminal and Midnight Commander on the server itself but not the GUI.

So my server has been stable since my last message. I've had two planned reboots since then and everything was running fine. I just went to login to the webgui and got the same error message. I went to the server itself and had the same error message "Localhost not found". Had to restart from the command line. Any ideas?
