Problem Moving Read-Only Files

I was reorganizing some files today, moving them from one disk to another.  Not using user shares.

 

I was using plain old Windows XP, drag and drop (or cut and paste).

 

When it got to a read-only file, I got a dialog asking if it was okay to move the read only file.  I said yes and the move operation failed and stopped.  It would not allow me to move the read only file.

 

I was able to copy it, and then to delete it from the source (with a warning first).

 

I've had this happen a few times, seems like a bug.  Anyone else noticed this?
