July 29, 2025Jul 29 Hi folks,My docker containers have just vanished. Back story/context:I've been planning on upgrading my cache drive, as such I've been making plans to remove the current installed NVME. As such I changed the Appdata Primary storage from cache as the primary and array as the secondary to JUST the array as the primary. I then proceeded to run the mover manually, it also ran at like 3am in the morning today (per scheduled task). As an added measure i also ran mover manually not long ago, then proceeded to remove the cache drive after stopping the array. After which everything in my docker setup vanished. Did i do something wrong or is mover just broken?Thank you Edited July 29, 2025Jul 29 by Inch
July 29, 2025Jul 29 Community Expert I suspect that the docker.img file sued to hold your docker container binaries was also on the cache drive and so removing it made them disappear! If you post your system's diagnostics zip file we can confirm, if this was likely what happened. If it was then it is easy to recover from that.
July 29, 2025Jul 29 Author Thanks for the reply, I've been recovering them from the previously installed apps section - as frustrating as that is. I do have a question about mover, if i set appdata to prefer "cache" only, will it move the appdata from the array to cache via mover?I didn't know that was a thing. If thats correct, was just reading this as reference: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/133436-move-files-from-array-to-cache/ -- Is this methodly / process is still current? Thanks again Edited July 29, 2025Jul 29 by Inch
