New Linux VM Can't Access The Internet

Featured Replies

GM All,

Any and all help on this matter will be greatly appreciated. I'll do my very best to be detailed in explaining it all. I have a Cat 6 Network connection that is active connected to a 8-Port Switch. I have a Linux workstation connected to the Switch, and I can "dnf -y update" (which is the update command for Linux) with ZERO issues. I'm able to download and install those updates. Here is the issue at hand.
I have an UNRAID 7 installed and configured on a server, connected to the same switch as mentioned above. I've created a Linux VM (Rocky 10). After the build is complete, I invoked the above command to pull down the Rocky 10 Linux updates, and I can't access the Internet on the new Linux VM. I bring up a command line window and I try to ping "cnn.com" & "youtube.com" just to name a few, but no connection. I checked and verified through the settings that I'm on the right connection (bond0) . Any tips, and items to check would be greatly appreciated.

You are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread.

It is always a good idea to do this to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs.

A screenshot of your VM settings would also be useful as that sort of information is not included in the diagnostics.
