Looking for good file sync and share service

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am starting to get ready to install a new unraid server. I have most of the services figured out. I will use immich for photos and would like to use Only Office for online editing. I am looking for something like Synology Drive where you can sync and share files. It should integrate with Only Office. I know that nextcloud would check a lot of my boxes but I would like to avoid it. Is there a good alternative?

Take a look at Syncthing.

I looked at syncthing but it seems like sharing files with links is not supported and there is no connection to onlyoffice. Does anybody have expirience with Seafile? It seems like a good replacement for nextcloud but the reports about stability are mixed.

So after some digging I thought about giving nextcloud a chance and use AOI setup. Would there be any advantage of using a data share outside of the app data folder? Especially in terms of using cache drives. Does it make sense to use a more granular approach and move a separate share and only cache that or should I just cache the complete appdata folder and don't worry about it.
