Disk file move operation to show the amount of data being moved

Often I'm moving data from one disk to another to level things out via Main > Array Devices > DiskXXX.
It can show me a completed %, the current speed and even an ETA, but not the amount of data being moved.
How is the ETA & % complete calculated if the size is unknown ? If this is an oversight, please add it into the UI.
