August 8, 2025Aug 8 Hi,Could I please get some help? I have an array of 6x 16TB HDD's, 1 of which is parity. I added 3 "new" 10TB HDD's to the array that I had sitting around from my previous NAS, however after it cleared and formatted them UNRAID seem them as 6TB HDD's?? Any ideas?Screenshot attached.Thank you!

August 8, 2025Aug 8 Author Hmm that's a good point, I wonder if that's the issue. I've attached diagnostics.Thanks for your help mediaserver-diagnostics-20250808-2103.zip
August 8, 2025Aug 8 Community Expert Solution Yep, they have multiple paritons, including a 4TB and a 6TB, Unraid will use the larger one:Aug 8 17:29:43 MediaServer emhttpd: /bin/lsblk -lnbo TYPE,NAME,START,SIZE /dev/sdi 2>&1Aug 8 17:29:43 MediaServer emhttpd: disk sdi 10000831348736Aug 8 17:29:43 MediaServer emhttpd: part sdi1 8192 8589934592Aug 8 17:29:43 MediaServer emhttpd: part sdi2 16785408 2147483648Aug 8 17:29:43 MediaServer emhttpd: part sdi5 21257952 3989803663360Aug 8 17:29:43 MediaServer emhttpd: part sdi6 7813859328 6000037412864Disks still look empty. If that is the case, the easiest way to resolve this is to do a new config (Tools - New config - keep all - apply), then click on those disks are "erase", start array, format the disks and they will use the full capacity. Parity needs to be resynched.Another option, which could be worth it if the disk already had data, would be to rebuild them one at a time. During a rebuild, Unraid would repartition the disk using the whole disk.
