August 10, 2025Aug 10 Since the last week every one to two days my server has frozen and needed a hard reboot to work again, once up it runs fine for a day or two. I haven't added any new hardware or installed any new apps. The syslog shows nothing before the freeze. I have looked through Reddit and the Unraid forums but to no avail. Next time it happens I will do a memtest though. Apart from that is there any things else I can try?

August 10, 2025Aug 10 Community Expert Nothing relevant logged that I can see. If the issue started out of the blue it points more to a hardware issue. Since you have multiple RAM sticks, try using the server with just one, if the same try with the other one, that will basically rule out bad RAM.
August 10, 2025Aug 10 Author actually, my qnap has been rebooting at around 5:30am each morning for the last week also. I hadn't thought they could be connected since it happens at different times, but they are plugged into the same UPS. Could the Ups be causing the problem? I didn't see anything in the log about that though.
August 14, 2025Aug 14 Author Since I have posted I have unmounted my qnap which was connected via NFS, my unraid server hasn't frozen up again and the qnap hasn't hard rebooted itself at night. I haven't touch anything with the ups. Could there be an issue with the way I had mounted my qnap?
August 14, 2025Aug 14 Community Expert I would expect that to leave something logged, but it's always possible.
August 14, 2025Aug 14 Community Expert I would first run it like that for a few more days to try and confirm whether that is really the issue or not.
